My name is David Poague, owner and operator of Pressure Works, established 1989. My company provides cleaning services for decks and fences, as well as sealing, staining and preserving. It is here where I ran into many problems with material waste and the damage and destruction of landscape vegetation. Working with chemicals can be very costly if the proper procedures are not taken to ensure damage control. In the past, I would have two men hold up drop clothes or cover anything that could be exposed to chemicals. The drop cloths would absorb chemicals, making them a heavy, wet mess that never dried. This was a huge labor and material expense for my company to overcome.

It was in April of 1995 that I began to develop and invent the "Spraymate". The Spraymate is a shield designed to greatly reduce labor hours on the job, retain chemicals being applied or for re-use, and to protect and preserve the surrounding environment. I made my first Spraymate in June of 1995 using a thin metal material that turned out to be heavy and expensive to manufacture. By using cardboard, we made an affordable, lightweight, reusable shield that allows a single person to protect the home itself (siding, paint, etc.), the surrounding landscape environment, save all chemicals produced by overspray and dripping, not to mention, saving countless labor hours on the job. Enclosed with every Spraymate is an easy to assemble 7-step instruction sheet, helpful illustrations, recommendations for various uses and different applications of chemicals to be applied (preservatives, sealers, stains, paint, etc.).

By using Spraymate I have solved all of the problems I had encountered, while at the same time increasing my company's profits. I have cut my labor costs in half, reduced my need for ladders, eliminated the use of tarps and covers, and saved all of my chemicals for re-use.
